The New Jeep® Renegade includes full-length front and rear side-curtain airbags, a driver-side inflatable knee bolster airbag, seat-mounted side airbags for front occupants and advanced multistage driver and front passenger airbags.
To enjoy a unique driving experience it is important to be safe behind the wheel. The New Jeep® Renegade is designed to provide more than 60 available safety and security features, including Forward Collision Warning-Plus Mitigation and LaneSense™ Departure Warning-Plus. This state-of-the art technology (known as Advanced Driver Assistance System) is designed to be reliable in any driving condition and features 2 brand new systems: Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Assist, both standard on the whole range.
The New Jeep® Renegade has been awarded with the prestigious 5-star rating Euro NCAP after the increase of the thresholds required to obtain the coveted 5-star regarding adult, child and pedestrian safety. Its innovative “small-wide 4x4 architecture” and numerous improved safety systems, offered as standard or on request, have contributed in earning this award.
The vehicle lane position is monitored by cameras and if the car approaches the lane boundaries unintentionally, the system provides a visual and audible warning. Additionally, in case of lane drift, Lane Keeping Assist proactively leverages the electronic power steering to help the driver taking a corrective action and getting back in the lane.
By constantly monitoring the space between your vehicle and others, the Blind Spot Monitoring System helps you maintain the right safety distance. When a side or rear blind spot is met, you are notified via illuminated icons on the side view mirrors or an audible chime.
Renegade can be equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which greatly increases the value and comfort of cruise control, especially in congested traffic situations. The System uses a radar sensor mounted at the front of the vehicle to detect objects in its path and it will automatically adjust to a safe distance.
This innovative system, thanks to radar and video sensors, detects whether the Jeep® Renegade is approaching another vehicle or large obstacle in its path too rapidly and warns or assists you in avoiding/mitigating the incident, sending audible and visual alerts or even applying the brakes.
The system can identify the presence of an electronic key near the door and the tailgate, allowing unlocking / locking the doors or the trunk without having to press any button on the electronic key.
Storm clouds shouldn’t stop you from exploring. Available rain-sensing windshield wipers activate when raindrops are detected.
The driver and front/rear passenger power windows can fully opened and closed with a single action, without having to keep a button depressed.
